Box with 5 individual drawers coupled together to form a drum for immobilizing the lamb during sacrifice. The sheep are immobilized in a way that meets all animal welfare requirements. Different movements of the sheep restraints are carried out with pneumatic cylinders with specific regulation to avoid harming the animals.
Composed of:
• Animal entry through the rear opening of the box. Once inside, the animal is secured with a side panel that allows for adjustment according to its dimensions and a rear panel that pushes it, causing the sheep to stick its head out at the front of the box where it will be immobilized and then sacrificed. These two panels are each actuated by a pneumatic cylinder.
• Front guillotine-type door with upward movement to secure the animal's neck, actuated by a pneumatic cylinder.
• Electrically operated rotary movement to turn the animal upside down.
• Chin rest with backward tilt, actuated by a pneumatic cylinder, to lock the head at the front and stretch the animal's neck, facilitating access for bleeding.
• Lateral swing door, actuated by a pneumatic cylinder, to expel the animal.
• Control electrical panel with a touchscreen to operate and monitor all machine movements, with 3 control modes:
- Automatic mode, for normal operation.
- Manual mode, for maintenance.
- Cleaning mode, for daily cleaning.
• The box has a time control function to ensure the immobilization of the sheep for the time determined by animal welfare from sacrifice to release.
